Odor-Absorbing Splatter Screen Thaddeus Alemau from New York had the ingenious idea of creating an Odor-Absorbing Splatter Screen by sandwiching a carbon filter between the existing mesh screens. Lifetime Brands designed this washable splatter screen that captures odors from foods such as fish and bacon while still allowing steam to escape for crisp results. Several variations of this product were developed across multiple brands.

Misto® Tom Risch from Connecticut, inventor of Misto, The Gourmet Olive Oil Sprayer, already had an established product and partnered with Lifetime Brands to take advantage of our advanced design team and established sales network. With new features, alternative materials and trend-right pattern designs, over one million units have been sold to date. Plus, new variations of the original concept are introduced each year.
Trap-Door Colander Lesia Farmer from Texas had an idea for a Trap-Door Colander that enables users to gently pour food into a bowl without having to flip the colander over. Warren Tuttle, President of Monashee Marketing, LLC, worked with Lesia on patenting her idea and prototyping the colander. By partnering with Lifetime Brands, this invention was sold across the country under the Farberware® and DFL™ brands.
Seasoning Stick Lifetime Brands was featured on the Food Network™ show Invention Hunters where inventors from across the country presented their ideas in hopes of signing licensing agreements. Mary L. Hunter from Indiana pitched her Seasoning Stick which she was already producing on a small scale. Lifetime entered into an agreement with Mary and now produces the product in different sizes under the Farberware brand.
Produce Freshies™ Brenda Patterson from Arizona, inventor of Produce Freshies, was also featured on Invention Hunters. Produce Freshies absorb ethylene gas which keeps produce fresh and crisp longer, along with inhibiting the growth of mold, bacteria, and odors. In addition to utilizing our established sales network, Lifetime updated the packaging with a fresh new look and created a Quick Response (QR) video to help promote the product to consumers.
Xtra Drawer Andrea Zabinski of Pennsylvania had the idea for a drop-down drawer that could be added to any cabinet to provide additional storage space without any fasteners. Lifetime further refined this idea and developed several variations with universal dividers to provide flexibility and inserts to hold spice jars (spices included) and coffee pods.
